The Foundation worked with Eatel, Houston Astros Foundation, and Crane Worldwide Logistics over the month of September, 2021 to get help to the people of Southeast Louisiana. The Astros Foundation and Crane Worldwide Logistics provided us 4 18-wheelers of food, water and supplies, meanwhile Eatel has been a huge factor in distributing the products with us on-the-ground. Since Hurricane Ida made landfall, we have distributed the 4 18-wheeler loads of non-perishable food, water, bleach, cleaning supplies, laundry detergent, baby diapers, wipes, soaps, toiletries, dog and cat food, bug repellent, etc. to many areas of Southeast Louisiana. We have met with the communities below:

  • Larose, LA in Lafourche Parish where Eatel line crew employees and their families received supplies

  • St. John the Baptist Parish Emergency Operations Center and Sheriff's Office received 2 pallets of food for St. John Parish officials and employees

  • St. John the Baptist Parish Training Facility received 2 pallets of food towards distribution to the community and for the law enforcement staff

  • Terrebone General Medical Hospital in Houma received 20 pallets of baby products, diapers, baby wipes, bleach, detergent, soaps, food, and 3 pallets of water for the patients in their medical centers

  • St. Theresa of Avila Church in Gonzales received 2 pallets of toiletry and hygiene products, utensils, and other supplies
